Dear New Sixth Grader,
Well, here it is August 9 already, and I haven't written one summer blog. Why? I've been too busy reading, of course! Hopefully, you already love reading as much as I do, but if not, you'll have a whole year with me to discover the joy and excitement a good book can create. Some books I've enjoyed so far this summer are This Lullaby and The Truth About Forever both by Sarah Dessen, Starclimber by Kenneth Oppel, and Fablehaven: Secrets of the Dragon Sanctuary by Brandon Mull. All of the books were wonderful and I recommend both theStarclimber and Fablehaven series very highly. I can't wait to hear what you have been reading this summer and to discover new books to love during our year together.I'm getting excited about the beginning of a new school year and can't wait to meet you.
