Sixth Graders,
Here it is ONE WEEK before school starts, and I haven't posted what I've been reading this summer! The good thing is that I have been reading a lot. And when I say a lot, I mean A LOT. Here are some of the highlights.
I read a really cool book by an Oregon author titled
Restoring Harmony. The author is Joelle Anthony, and the book is set mostly in Gresham. Pretty cool!
I also read
Don't Judge a Girl by Her Cover which is the third book in the series by Ally Carter. I love these books because they are about a girl spy. If you've ever read any of the Alex Rider books, but wished the hero was a girl, then these books are for you!
For those of you who enjoy your books a little scarier, I read the first book in the Cirque du Freak series, A Living Nightmare... by Darren Shan. It was pretty funny, and moved along at a good pace, but I don't think I'll be reading the rest of the series. However, I do recommend you give it a try if you like vampires, freaks, snakes, spiders, scary carnivals, etc.
.

Currently, I'm reading the final book of The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. I am so excited to read
Mockingjay, I can't believe I took time away from it to write this post!
Enjoy your last week!
Ms. Darby
